રતિલાલ બોરીસાગર ગુજરાતી ભાષાના હાસ્યલેખક, નિબંધકાર સાહિત્યકાર છે. તેમનો જન્મ સૌરાષ્ટ્ર વિસ્તારમાં આવેલા સાવરકુંડલા ખાતે થયો હતો. તેમણે એમ.એ., બી.એડ. તથા ૧૯૮૯માં સાહિત્યિક સંપાદન : વિવેચનાત્મક અધ્યયન વિષય પર પીએચ.ડી. ની પદવી મેળવી. ત્યાર બાદ તેઓ શિક્ષક, પ્રોફેસર, સરકારી ઓફિસર જેવી વિવિધ નોકરીઓ કરી ક્લાસ-વન ગેઝેટેડ ઓફિસર તરીકે ગુજરાત સરકારના ઉચ્ચ હોદ્દા પર રહ્યા હતા. તેઓ ગુજરાતી સાહિત્ય પરિષદના વહીવટી મંત્રી રહ્યા હતા. તેમને ગુજરાતી સાહિત્ય પરિષદ તરફથી જ્યોતીન્દ્ર દવે પારિતોષિકથી નવાજવામાં આવ્યા છે.તેમની મુખ્ય રચનાઓમાં મરક મરક, આનંદલોક, અર્વાચીન ગુજરાતી હાસ્ય રચનાઓ નામે હાસ્ય લેખ, સંભવામિ યુગે યુગે નામે લઘુનવલ તથા બાલવન્દના નામે બાલસાહિત્ય આપી છે.૨૦૧૯માં તેમને નિબંધસંગ્રહ 'મોજમાં રેવું રે!' માટે સાહિત્ય અકાદમી પુરસ્કાર (૨૦૧૯) પ્રાપ્ત થયો હતો

He had the last laugh

AHMEDABAD: He had described himself as one of the last of his generation while paying homage to fellow humourist Tarak Mehta last year, and truly, Vinod Bhatt, 80, represented his generation of Gujarati humourists like few others did. Bhatt passed away at his residence on Wednesday morning. In accordance with his last wish, his body was donated for medical research, his family members aries including Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani offered condolences and large group of literati reached his residence in Kankaria to pay homage.
Mona Bhatt, Bhatt’s daughter, said that he had been unwell since December with kidney-related problems. “The demise of my mother Nalini on January 29 this year left him in deep grief and shock,” she said. “Ever since her death, papa had gone into seclusion. Over the past few weeks, he had refused to eat and to take phone calls.”
Bhatt was born in at Nandol village near Dehgam in Gandhinagar district. He worked as a tax consultant while continuing his passion for writing. He was the president of the Gujarati Sahitya Parishad from to He had authored over 45 books that cover humour, satire, biography, and literary criticism.
