  • Early Life • Kurt Vonnegut was born November 11th, 1922, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of German- American citizens. He attended Cornell University, and enlisted in the U.S Army, where he studied mechanical engineering. His mother committed suicide on Mother’s day in 1944.
